John Abrams has always believed in designing and manufacturing only the finest 18 karat gold and platinum jewelry, which accentuates artistic design and lasting durability. His lifelong commitment to his customers is to provide only the finest jewelry available at the best possible value.
Abrams began his jewelry-making career in 1975 as an apprentice. He trained under a jewelry master for three years before striking out to run a jewelry repair and manufacturing department for a fine jewelry store.

In 1980, Abrams attended the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica California and received his Graduate Gemologist diploma. While there, John earned his Registered Jeweler diploma from the American Gem Society. In 1981, Abrams received his Certified Gemologist diploma and in 1984, he received the highest title awarded in the jewelry industry, Certified Gemologist Appraiser from the American Gem Society. Abrams received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Bakersfield in 1985.

In 1986 John purchased a 50% share in Wickersham Jewelers Inc., the finest and most reputable family jewelry store in Bakersfield. He purchased the store outright in 1991.

Although he was trained in the traditional techniques of jewelry making, John has remained on the leading edge of technology. Utilizing state-of-the-art computer aided design, computerized milling, along with the latest laser technology, Abrams has enabled Wickersham Jewelers to produce the most unique and precisely crafted jewelry pieces available worldwide.
